Protest planned for Oct. 23 in support of East coach; here is what supporters said

Students and families at Green Bay East High School are planning to protest football coach Kominiko "Niko" Sila’s administrative leave on Oct. 23, demanding Sila be reinstated.

Sila, who also serves as manager of student engagement, attendance and advocacy at East, was put on paid administrative leave Oct. 16. He declined an interview, but his wife, Chelci Sila, said he was accused of violating school district policies 522 (staff conduct) and 522.6 (staff-student and staff-minor child relations) .
