BATH COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - For the small community of Owingsville, social worker Tonya Bailey says an outreach organization, like the Christian Social Service Center, can be a lifeline for many.
“We have food insecurity here, we always have through the years but at this time, inflation, cost of living, all those types of things, a rise in rent, has really affected that and increased the food insecurity we’ve seen here in Bath County,” Bailey said.
Christian Social Services has been what some say is an epicenter of outreach for Bath and Menifee Counties for several decades; offering food, clothing and even financial assistance to those who need it.
