A popular food Co-op in northeast Minneapolis is working to recover their systems after vandals destroyed critical refrigeration piping.
Eastside Food Co-op didn’t mince words in a Facebook post, writing: "Welp, we’ve got some bad news folks."
The business goes on to write that in the early morning hours on Wednesday, someone broke into the premises and cut out and stole critical piping to its refrigeration system.
“This sick act of vandalism and theft has rendered us without refrigeration,” the post continues.
Until the system is restored, Eastside is unable to sell any chilled food.
The business hopes to have everything back up and running in stages over the coming days.
