Shopian, Oct 22: Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Zainapura, Bilal Ahmed on Wednesday led a joint operation in collaboration with Drug Control Authorities Shopian, resulting in the closure of four medical establishments, including a wholesale dealer.

The enforcement drive was undertaken to ensure adherence to the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (NDPS Act), and the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, with specific focus on the maintenance of NRx Scheduled H1 records, implementation of new GST labelling, and compliance with GST rates.

The inspections revealed instances of non-compliance, including inadequate record-keeping, absence of computerized billing, and non-functional CCTV cameras, prompting immediate action.
