KANSAS CITY, Mo. – It would be hard to invent the archetype of a throwback college basketball story better than what Tamin Lipsey has actually lived.

An Ames native who grew up not only an Iowa State fan, but a Cyclone sicko, living and dying with each game. He grew into a high-major talent and joined the team he loved. Now, he’s an All-American as a fourth-year starter in his final collegiate season.
