TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Drivers commuting near Porterville can expect delays at a Highway 190 intersection for at least two weeks as Caltrans begins constructing a new roundabout.
Beginning Monday, Oct. 27, Caltrans says the Highway 190 and Westwood Street intersection will be under construction to convert it into a roundabout. During this time, Westwood Street north of Highway 190 will not be accessible directly from the highway.
Caltrans adds access to Westwood Street north of Highway 190 will be closed beginning Oct. 29. Detour signs will be found around the closure on Highway 190, Highway 65, Road 192, and Avenue 152.
Active construction hours will take place Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. for about the next two weeks, weather permitting.
