DENVER (KDVR) — One of the six suspects who police say was caught in a viral video at the now-closed The Edge at Lowry apartments pleaded guilty last month and was sentenced to over a decade in prison, according to court records.

The case is tied to a video first shared by FOX31 showing six men walking up a stairwell carrying weapons, and one man is seen talking on a cellphone. Aurora police confirmed that the video was taken shortly before a shootout in the apartment complex's parking lot, leaving one person dead.

Niefred Jose Zerpa-Acosta, 21, of Venezuela, who also goes by Serpa-Acosta, pleaded guilty on Sept. 22 to one charge of first-degree burglary and a sentence enhancer charge of using a weapon during a violent crime, according to Colorado court records.
