CHICAGO (WGN) — Confrontation erupted in Chicago on Wednesday as Border Patrol chief Gregory Bovino and federal agents descended on several neighborhoods.

Police now say a driver tried to ram into an agent's vehicle.

A video from the Citizen app also showed Border Patrol agents making their presence known in Cicero after several sightings in Little Village. Bovino was among them.

"You can tell it was all made for video," said Illinois State Representative Edgar Gonzalez at a Wednesday afternoon press conference.

Earlier in the day, Cicero police officers responded to a crash at 26th and Odgen outside Sam's Club. Authorities say it involved two vehicles, neither of which was a Border Patrol vehicle.
