NEW MARTINSVILLE, W.Va. –Residents of New Martinsville will have the chance to play hide-and-seek with local law enforcement this Saturday.

The New Martinsville Police Department will host its second annual Hide and Seek from the Police fundraiser event.

Police Chief Tim Cecil, who appeared last month on MetroNews Midday, said participants hide on foot while police officers search for them in their cruisers. Participants are asked to gather at the Hydro Ball Park gravel lot between 7 and 8 p.m., where organizers will hand out glow-in-the-dark wristbands with numbers written on them. When an officer catches a participant, they will radio in the number on the wristband.

There is a limit of 200 participants. Those who have not pre-registered are encouraged to arrive early to sign up. Regis
