MILLBURY, Ohio — Anthony Wayne’s volleyball team made a convincing statement on Wednesday in its quest to make another deep OHSAA tournament run.

The No. 1-seed Generals used a strong finish to the first set and a balanced attack offensively to upend No. 2 Clay 25-16, 25-16, 25-15 in a Division II district final at Lake High School.

Anthony Wayne, the 2024 Division II state runner-up, extended its winning streak to 19 games. The Generals have dropped just four sets during that span.
