TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - Job scams are on the rise and becoming more believable with the use of AI, targeting vulnerable job seekers with increasingly sophisticated schemes.
Marie Richardson, a Sierra Vista woman recently laid off from her job in automotive finance, said she was excited to receive what appeared to be a legitimate job offer from Farmers Insurance in her email inbox.
“I was really excited to receive that email,” Richardson said. “It looked legitimate. I mean it said, ‘Best regards from the HR team.’”
