GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - Congresswoman Nancy Mace was back in the Upstate as the federal government shutdown reaches its third week in Washington, D.C., and FOX Carolina’s Justin Dougherty spoke with her regarding her run for governor.

The congresswoman announced her run for governor in August and is one of five Republicans in the race. The others are Congressman Ralph Norman , Attorney General Alan Wilson , Lieutenant Governor Pamela Evette and Upstate Senator Josh Kimbrell .

In the interview, Mace spoke on a number of political topics, including the government shutdown, her past comments on LGBT issues, President Trump and what her top priority will be if elected governor.
