BRISTOL, Conn. (WTNH) -- The Bristol Police Department is asking for help locating a driver who they said tried to pick up a 9-year-old girl from St. Joseph School on Wednesday.
According to police, officers responded to St. Joseph School on Center Street at around 6:48 p.m. for a report of a suspicious incident.
It was reported that a 9-year-old girl was with teachers when a man driving a dark-colored SUV called her name several times and told her to come to him. Staff intervened and the man drove off. The child was unharmed.
The family does not recognize the man, who is described as a tan-skinned man between 20 and 30 years old with dark curly hair, or the vehicle. Police have obtained two photos of the SUV and are asking for help identifying and locating it.
