ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A 1-year-old child was shot in the leg Wednesday and arrived at a St. Louis City hospital, police say.

According to St. Louis police, they were called to a local hospital around 7:30 p.m. for reports of a 1-year-old child who had been shot. The child is in stable condition.

Police say through their investigation they’ve learned the child was shot while inside a car, but the exact location of the shooting is unknown as of Wednesday night.
