GENESEO, Ill. (KWQC) - More than 600 people are without power in Geneseo Wednesday night.

According to the city’s outage map , 680 were without power as of 9:36 p.m.

City officials said the outage was caused by an issue at a sub-station, according to a Facebook post.

Employees with the electric department are working to learn more about the problem, officials said.

A KWQC crew said power appeared to return around 9:30 p.m.

KWQC has reached out to the city of Geneseo.
