MUSKEGON, Mich. — The Muskegon lighthouses end their season on Labor Day weekend; however, they continue to give tours through the fall, and ten years ago, the conservancy decided to keep the fun going into Halloween.

The annual Halloween Party at the South Pierhead Lighthouse was postponed last weekend due to the weather but is now set for this Saturday.

“We decided that we were going to just decorate the inside of the lighthouse and invite all the kids to dress in costumes," said Kim Lange, Muskegon Lighthouse Conservancy Operations Manager. "Come Trick or treat. Come have fun.”

Although the event is free, Lange said that continued donations are always welcome to continue restoration work on the nearby Breakwater Lighthouse.
