Haryana's Director General of Police, O P Singh, embarked on an unexpected night patrol to personally examine challenges faced by police personnel at various checkpoints and emergency response vehicles stationed across the state.
In a post on X, Singh announced his directive for superintendents and commissioners of police to conduct similar inspections and submit reports by 11 am the following day, highlighting deficiencies noted and solutions proposed.
During his patrol, Singh found some lapses in vigilance, such as a PCR vehicle on duty but unmonitored, and absence of police presence near toll plazas, particularly at traffic diversion zones, underscoring gaps in current operational efficiency.
