Hundreds of area residents showed up to protest the Trump Administration along E. Morris Boulevard in Morristown, joined seven million other “No Kings” protestors across the country on Saturday.
Expressing frustration with President Trump’s administration’s unprecedented use of executive actions that bypass traditional legislative avenues, protestors brought signs, energy and enthusiasm to make statements along central Morristown’s main corridor. The protest followed a similar effort during the summer.
“No Kings 2 went exceedingly well considering the logistics and national scope of the event,” Hamblen County Democratic Party Chair Bryant Frankford said. “We were joined by (protestors from) surrounding counties such as Grainger, Sevier, Cocke and Jefferson as well as many other areas.”
