YOUNGSTOWN Organizations from the local and state levels were in attendance at an event in Youngstown on Wednesday that aimed to "stomp out" domestic violence.
The "Stomp Out for Domestic Violence" event took place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Richard W. & Eugenia C. Atkinson Recreation Center.
It featured guest speakers, a self-defense demonstration, a fitness remix class and other resources.
The program was funded by the Ohio Commission on Minority Health.
Community members were encouraged to attend the free event to learn more about domestic violence resources available in the region.
According to Christina Rivera, a personal trainer associated with the event, the aim was to share resources with the community in a safe and friendly environment.
