OGUNQUIT, Maine — Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Graham  Platner held a town‑hall event Wednesday night at the Leavitt Theatre in Ogunquit, seeking to rebuild momentum in his bid to unseat Republican Senator Susan Collins. The gathering came amid some controversies.

Inside the packed theatre, Platner acknowledged recent revelations about his past, including old online posts and a tattoo that is similar to a symbol widely associated with Nazis.

"I used to use different language. I said things and believed things that today I find abhorrent," Platner told the audience.
