We don’t have to wait long to experience one of the fiercest rivalries in the NBA when the new season kicks off this week. The 76ers and Celtics square off in Boston tonight in their season opener.

The Sixers got good injury news leading up to the season when Joel Embiid played 19 minutes in the preseason finale. It was his first game action since Feb. 22 and was considered slightly ahead of schedule, signaling that he will be ready to start the season.

The Celtics will be without their star player and MVP contender, Jayson Tatum, who is expected to miss most (and possibly all) of the season as he recovers from the Achilles injury he suffered in the playoffs last season. Beyond losing Tatum, the Celtics’ roster looks much different from the past few years.
