On Wednesday, Flagg made his much-anticipated debut as the Mavericks faced the San Antonio Spurs. The moment marked history, as he became the first player from Maine ever to play in an NBA game when the ball was tipped.
Soon after the game tipped off, Flagg nearly created a highlight moment to start his NBA career. He ran through the defense and soared toward the rim for an alley-oop attempt. It could have been a spectacular start, but the ball rimmed out.
Flagg’s debut night did not go as he might have envisioned. He was held scoreless in the first half. He recorded six rebounds
