(NewsNation) — The sheriff investigating the death of Ajike Owens at the hands of Susan Lorincz tells NewsNation the latter was far from the most upstanding resident in her neighborhood.

Lorincz, who was found guilty of manslaughter and sentenced to 25 years in prison in 2024, is at the center of a new Netflix documentary, “The Perfect Neighbor,” in which viewers see how a minor disagreement led to Lorincz fatally shooting her neighbor, Owens, in front of Owens' 9-year-old son in central Florida.

Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods, who investigated the killing of Owens, joined "Banfield" to discuss the documentary, which explores the dispute leading to the killing through bodycam footage.

"The only thing I always said is she was far from 'the perfect neighbor,'" Woods said of Lorincz.
