EL MIRAGE, AZ (AZFamily) — El Mirage Police released edited bodycam videos Wednesday that show an armed man being shot to death earlier this month .

In the 14-minute 911 call, officers said Jeremy Preckel told dispatchers he was suicidal and was holding a rifle.

El Mirage Police added that when the dispatcher said officers were on the way, Preckel said that he wanted to be shot by police.

Officers arrived in the neighborhood just before 6 p.m.

Video from one of the two officers who responded to West Charter Oak and West Bloomfield Road, which is near 115th Avenue and Cactus Road, on Oct. 8, showed the officer pointing their gun and demanding Jeremy Preckel to “show his hands” and to “put down the gun.”
