The upcoming bypoll at the Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency has seen a significant number of nominations, with the Election Commission validating 81 out of 211 candidates' submissions. Officials noted that the scrutiny process led to the rejection of 130 candidates' papers.

This bypoll, scheduled for November 11, comes after the death of BRS MLA Maganti Gopinath. Political parties are gearing up for the contest, with the ruling Congress nominating V Naveen Yadav, while the BRS has fielded Maganti Sunitha, the widow of the late MLA.
