In Hyderabad's Ghatkesar, cow smugglers shot a 'gau rakshak' boy on Wednesday. The boy's name was Prashant alias Sonu. His family said that he had been doing cow protection work for 5-6 years.

Telangana BJP leaders claimed that Sonu was attacked while trying to stop cow smuggling. BJP leader Madhavi Lata has accused AIMIM of the attack and demanded immediate action.

According to the report, some people called Sonu to the IT corridor of Pocharam at 5:30 PM on Wednesday by giving false news of cow smuggling, but as soon as he reached there, he was fired upon.
