There’s no doubt that when healthy, Joel Embiid is a top-five player in the NBA. However, the past couple of seasons have been brutal for the 2023 league MVP, as he has consistently missed games due to injuries. That’s why when Embiid was cleared to play on opening night, Sixers fans rejoiced.

When the Sixers travelled to Boston for their first game of the 2025-2026 season, hopes were high for a classic Embiid showing. Well, after just a few minutes on the floor, it was obvious to see that the seven-time all-star was far from his usual dominant self. His lack of mobility was captured by ‘LakeShowYo’ and shared on X.

Are those knees officially done? Embiid can’t even contest shots properly. His jump was visibly shorter, and he seemed overly cautious about his movements.
