Wishaw general manager Martin O’Neill says it was ‘ a fantastic opportunity’ to get former Larkhall Thistle boss Brian Crawford at the helm. ‌

Crawford returns to the Beltane Park club as boss, alongside assistant manager Stevie Gayne and first-team coach Neil Schoneville, a well-known name in Junior circles. ‌

O’Neill admits surprise that Crawford left West of Scotland Second Division side Thistle to join Wishaw in the Fourth Division, but is delighted. ‌

He said: “We’ve had some really good quality people at the club in recent times but we just can’t seem to get ourselves going.

“When Brian became available, he left Larkhall, which was quite surprising, we set up some meetings.
