A young hiker has been rushed to hospital after he plunged around 10 metres from a cliff near a Victorian landmark on Thursday.
Emergency services were called to Great Ocean Road at Princetown after reports a man fell down a cliff about 12.45pm, a Victoria Police spokesperson said.
Great Ocean Road straddles along the coastline next to rock formation and popular tourist attraction the Twelve Apostles.
It is believed the man, aged in his 20s, had fallen around 10 metres before landing on a cliff edge.
Ambulance Victoria confirmed it responded to reports of the incident in Princetown, deploying specialist air ambulance helicopters and Mobile Intensive Care Ambulance (MICA) flight paramedics to the scene.
The man was winched to safety before being assessed and treated by paramedics.
