Not enough is being done to prevent children being denied enrolment at schools because of their disability, advocates say.
An independent review of Western Australia's school education laws has offered 15 recommendations for reform, which the report's principal author said if accepted, would "remove barriers and strengthen access and inclusion for students with disability".
But the government has only fully accepted one — updating the definition of what could be considered a disability.
The review recommends laws be developed to ensure schools don't consider a child's disability when denying their enrolment.
