South Africa achieved a resounding victory over Pakistan, thrashing the hosts by eight wickets to level the two-test series. Off-spinner Simon Harmer was instrumental, claiming six dismissals as his side capitalized on a favorable spinning wicket.

After Pakistan commenced the series with a significant 93-run win in Lahore, Harmer turned the tables at Rawalpindi by dismissing the home team for 138, setting a feasible victory target of 68 runs for South Africa.

Simon Harmer and Keshav Maharaj, who together contributed 17 wickets, orchestrated the South African win, with skipper Aiden Markram leading the charge with a briskly-played 42. The visitors comfortably reached their target just before lunch.
