It's almost time to cast your vote on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, at numerous polling stations around New Bedford.

Voters are deciding on candidates for assessor-at-large, School Committee, councilor-at-large, and ward Councilors.

The preliminary election narrowed the field for the at-large City Council seats, with a voter turnout of 5.77% or 4,263 out of 73,859 registered voters.

What positions are up for a vote in New Bedford?

In the at-large council race, there are 10 New Bedford residents competing for five available seats. In the School Committee race, there are four candidates vying for three seats on the New Bedford School Committee.

Contested council races can be found in Wards 1, 2, and 5, while uncontested races are taking place in Wards 3, 4, and 6
