Texas top 25 rankings stay largely unchanged after most teams roll to big victories in district play

Lake Travis knocked off previously unbeaten Dripping Springs last week to stay perfect on the season.

The 22 teams in the Texas top 25 high school football rankings that were in action last week went a combined 21-1. The only loss was in a game featuring two ranked teams, as Lake Travis held off Dripping Springs, 14-7 .

As a result, the Cavaliers and Tigers swapped places in this week’s rankings. Lake Travis moved up to No. 19, while Dripping Springs dropped to No. 20. The Cavaliers play at No. 12 Austin Westlake in one of two top 25 battles on this week’s docket.
