The high school football season is heating up, and week 10 has arrived.

As we get set for the second-to-last week of the regular season, the Eastern Sandhills and Tri-County conferences are in tight races for first place.

In the ESC, Seventy-First and South View are both 3-0 as the season's end approaches, with St. Pauls close behind at 2-1. Over in the TCC, the conference with the most Fayetteville-area teams has Cape Fear and Scotland both 3-0, and Terry Sanford sitting at 2-1 with some league-deciding factors coming this week.
