Meet Jackson, a tiny puppy whose story of survival began in the most unexpected place.

He was discovered inside a discarded box on a curb in San Jose, California. Far too young to survive on his own, Jackson’s first days were filled with fear and uncertainty.

A Fragile Start

“He could fit in the palm of your hand. He was less than a pound,” said Ashley Kotkin, Jackson’s foster mom.

Ashley was contacted by friends who had found the small, helpless puppy in distress . As someone deeply involved in animal rescue, she did not hesitate to help.

When she first saw him, Jackson was in terrible condition.
