East Fremantle residents invited to have say on town’s events calendar

Town of East Fremantle residents have been invited to have their say on what type of events their council should hold.

Feedback from an online survey and a community workshop planned for next year will be used in the town’s preparation of a new events strategy and annual events calendar.

The survey follows the council’s decision in March to pause East Fremantle’s George Street Festival as it considers the scope and long-term sustainability of the festival and the way it delivers other community events.

Local festivals, community markets and events were identified in a recent two-yearly community scorecard as a focus area for the council over the next decade.
