BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Nice weather continues through Friday, then a low-pressure system and cold front will move wet weather our way this weekend.

TODAY’S WEATHER

Thursday, we’ll have a mix of sun and clouds with a cool start. Some areas are starting in the 40s to low 50s, on our way to afternoon highs in the lower 80s.

OPENING NIGHT AT THE STATE FAIR

Thursday night in Baton Rouge, we’ll have mainly clear skies with temperatures dropping from the low 80s late in the day, to the lower 60s by 10PM. Have fun!

TROPICAL STORM MELISSA

Melissa is still a tropical storm, however, it is expected to rapidly intensify the next few days, going all the way up to a major, category four hurricane. There is no threat to the Gulf.
