ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) - Scattered rain showers will persist throughout today as lake effect rain bands meander around the region. Temperatures will hold in the 40s and lower to middle 50s.

Wind flow remains westerly overnight into Friday, so it's hard to imagine anything going different here. Expect partial sun in between passing showers. Yes, it is still windy.

Our break comes with an easing of winds Saturday. Increasing pressure should also help clear out skies, but it may take until late in the day if the north flow persists. It won't last long though as a weak boundary drifts overhead Sunday to bump up cloud coverage. Rain threat from this is low. In fact, this may miss us completely and we enjoy sunshine.
