“Día de los Muertos Xicágo”

Honor the memory of late family, friends and community members at a special event hosted by the National Museum of Mexican Art in Pilsen. In addition to the museum’s 39th annual “Día de Muertos” exhibit — which this year commemorates the lives of the many who died in Texas and New Mexico flooding — the museum will transform Harrison Park into a space for ofrendas, music, dance and art. Look for a projected ofrenda to illuminate the facade of the museum.

3-8 p.m. Oct. 25 in Harrison Park and the National Museum of Mexican Art, 1852 W. 19th St.; details on the free event at nationalmuseumofmexicanart.org
