The attorney representing the Jane Does plans to appeal the decision.

The lawsuit named the governor and more than three dozen people with the state prison system, from the director to corrections officers.

Attorneys said the body camera policy was implemented in January.

A Washtenaw County Circuit Court judge dismissed a lawsuit from 20 women in Michigan's only prison for females that alleged, per policy, they were video-recorded on corrections officers' body cameras during routine strip searches and while showering and using toilets.

Todd Flood, an attorney representing the women at Women's Huron Valley Correctional Facility near Ypsilanti, plans to appeal the decision to the Michigan Court of Appeals.
