Detroit voters are bullish on their city and optimistic about its future , but that optimism ends with Detroit Public Schools Community District, according to a new Detroit News-WDIV-TV (Channel 4) poll.

Nearly half of Detroit voters disapproved of the job being done by the school district, with 45% disapproving and 37% approving, with 18% of voters unable to offer an opinion, according to 500 likely general election voters in an Oct. 16-18 survey. The Glengariff Group-conducted poll has a margin of error of plus-minus 4.4 percentage points.
