Strictly Come Dancing host Claudia Winkleman may have hinted months ago at the real reason she is leaving the show - and previously revealed how she had threatened to drop out last year.

The 53-year-old presenter announced today that she would be leaving the hit BBC show at the end of the current series after more than a decade.

Her co-host Tess Daly has also announced her plan to depart at the same time.
