NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a suspect wanted in connection with a simple

19-year-old Braydon Nix remains at large, NOPD says.

He is wanted on one count of simple kidnapping in this incident and has active warrants for simple robbery and domestic abuse battery (pregnant victim) in connection with a previous case.

According to police, the infant, Braylon Parker was "recovered and is safe," a release said. Louisiana State Police have since canceled the Amber Alert issued in the case.

Authorities said the incident happened around 6:34 p.m. in Central City in the 3700 block of Washington Avenue. They said Nix, reportedly took his and the victim's 5-month-old biological child during a dispute at a home.
