JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – Pharmacy Benefit Management company Express Scripts has persisted in its aim to remove Martella's Pharmacy from Highmark and UPMC-insured patient plans, even as a class-action lawsuit against it is ongoing, attorneys representing patients of Martella's said.

The law firm of Scanlon & Wojton, which represents the hundreds of patients in the class-action lawsuit, issued statements Wednesday that Express Scripts "made another attempt last evening (Tuesday) to remove Martella’s Pharmacy from UPMC and Highmark in-network coverage." ×
