SEATTLE — Illinois football is back on the field for Week 9 of the college football season after the first of two bye weeks.

The No. 23 Illini (5-2, 2-2) are looking to climb back into the College Football Playoff race with a pivitol Big Ten Conference road game at Washington (5-2, 2-2). The programs have met just twice since 1972, a two-game set swept by the Huskies in 2013 and 2014.

Coach Bret Bielema and Illinois head to Husky Stadium for a 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25 kickoff against coach Judd Fisch and the Huskies. The game is airing on Big Ten Network .
