PHILADELPHIA — Eight months ago, Jaxson Dart was asked at the NFL Scouting Combine which player he models his game off of. Dart smiled and admitted his answer might be a “cop out” because he just won Super Bowl MVP.

“But I love (Jalen) Hurts and what he does,” the future Giants quarterback said on Feb. 28. “Obviously, he’s an elite player, and I’m trying to reach that level. But I’ve tried to model my game after him because of his versatility. ... That’s something I’ve had a lot of fun watching and studying.”

Fast forward to the present, and now it’s Hurts appreciating Dart’s game.

Ahead of the Eagles ’ NFC East clash on Sunday against the Giants, Hurts was asked about his early impressions of the first-round rookie. He responded with a glowing review.
