The New Orleans Saints are set to face their first divisional opponent of the 2025 NFL season this weekend when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers visit the Big Easy. Both teams are coming off big losses as the Saints fell to the Bears and the Bucs fell to the Lions.

The NFC South foe will be playing on a short week after losing 24-9 on Monday Night Football on the road versus the Detroit Lions. Even with the loss, Tampa Bay still holds a one-game lead over the rest of the division, but New Orleans is firmly in last place with a 1-6 record.

New Orleans has managed to score over 20 points in a game just once this season. Although there has been substantial progression in the play of quarterback Spencer Rattler, the offense is stale, lacks consistency, and is completely inefficient.
