JSW Steel plans to open a scrap processing facility in Chennai to source and recycle scrap from various sources, including automobile and white goods manufacturers, for use at its steel-making plants.
Jayant Acharya, Joint Managing Director and CEO, JSW Steel, told businessline that the company is looking to set up a scrap processing facility in Chennai to supply scrap to its facilities at Vijayanagar in Karnataka and at Kadappa in Andhra Pradesh, which are under construction.
