WARRENSVILLE, N.C. —
A teacher died in a crash on her way to school in North Carolina, according to the school district.
The Ashe County school district said Kelly Holleman, 53, was involved in the crash on Wednesday.
She was a media specialist at Ashe County Middle School.
"This is an unimaginable loss for our school family," a Facebook post from the school district said.
The district said the loss is being felt across the district, as Holleman has family members who are part of the school community.
The district crisis intervention team was at the school on Wenesday to support students and staff.
Counselors and crisis interventionists were also available to assist at other schools as needed.
