The coroner's office confirmed the remains discovered back in July are that of a 7-year-old boy who was reported missing.

As the investigation unfolded, multiple crews searched the area and it was later revealed Creachbaum hadn't been seen for several weeks and the investigation turned into a homicide investigation.

Officials said they later learned Creachbaum was not missing and had been dead for several weeks. Remains were later found a short distance away on McClure Street.

On Wednesday, the Montgomery County Coroner's Office officially identified the remains as Creachbaum, stating the place of death was a wooded embankment on McClure Street.
